The 2018 Fantasy NASCAR season will be here before we know it. Fans that play the Fantasy Racing games will see a much different landscape in 2018 from what they are used to. Today I will try to fill you in on the changes and give you options so you can continue to have fun playing Fantasy Racing. When I was released I was told, “ We do not plan to offer the Fox Fantasy Auto Racing game in 2018.” I have been begging them to reconsider so hopefully they change their mind. There is only one popular season long Fantasy Auto Racing game available to fans with the Yahoo and Fox sports games off the table for the 2018 season. The game is hosted on the website. The game is much different from the Yahoo and Fox games but it is obvious that puts a lot more effort into their game to make it interesting and fun for their players. The feedback I received on my tells me that many of the Fantasy NASCAR fans have never played the game.

Do not fear, I am here to help educate you on how the games work and how to be very successful at it. Fantasy sports are always a lot more fun when you are crushing your competition. My picks have beaten 99.9% of the entries on for three consecutive seasons. Follow the advice on and you will have a great 2018 Fantasy NASCAR season. Unlike Yahoo, you can use a driver as many times as you want throughout the season. There are no allocations in this game. There is a catch though Every driver in the game has a price. The drivers are priced according to how they perform on the track (The better their results are, the higher their price is in the game). Each player must select five drivers for their team and stay under the $100 salary cap. A driver’s salary will rise and fall throughout the season so one of the secrets to the game is to select a driver when he is at his lowest price in the game. After you select your five drivers and they all fit under the $100 salary cap, you can select the driver you think will win the race.

Awards 30 bonus points for selecting the winning driver. Fantasy players can earn more bonus points if they select the winning manufacturer in the race.

It is simple. Just select Toyota if you think a driver in a Toyota will win, Ford if you think a Ford driver will win and Chevy if you think a Chevy driver will win. Awards 10 bonus points if you select the correct manufacturer for the race. Scoring In order to be successful in the game you need to know how the drivers are scored. Drivers earn point based upon where they finish the race. The driver who wins the race earns 40 points, 2 nd-place driver earns 35 points, 3 rd-place driver earns 34 points, 4th-place earns 33 points and so on.

The points decrease by 1 point for every lower place the driver finishes on the track. Positions 36 – 40 earn 1 point. Awards points for leading laps in the race. Each driver earns.5 points for every lap he leads in the race.

Example If Martin Truex Jr. Leads 100 laps in the race he will earn 50 bonus points for your fantasy team. Awards points for Fastest Laps in the race. This might seem complicated but it isn’t.

Does all of the scoring so you do not need to know who will have the fastest laps in the race. Usually the fastest laps are spread out among many drivers because lap traffic tends to slow down the cars running up front. Do not worry about trying to figure out how many fast laps your driver will have. Just pick the best drivers you can and you should get the.5 points per lap for having the driver with one of the fastest laps in the race. One of the most important scoring features in the game is position differential points. Drivers earn bonus points for each position he gains in the race over where he qualified for the race. Example: Brad Keselowski qualifies 12 th and finishes 2 nd he will earn 10 bonus points for position differential.

It is important to try and select drivers who start in the back at the large tracks (Superspeedways) because there are not as many laps in the race and not as many bonus points for leading laps and fastest laps. Do not worry, if you follow my advice this season I will help you determine if you need to select drivers for position differential points of drivers who will lead laps. Last year added Stage Points to their game. This was a great idea and it makes the game a lot more fun. Just like the real drivers, your fantasy team will earn bonus points if he finishes in the top 10 in any of the Stages. The bonus points are awarded the same way as they are in NASCAR.

The winner of the Stage earns 10 points, 2 nd earns 9 points, 3 rd earns 8 points and so on. Selecting drivers who can finish each Stage in the top 10 is important, but do not worry, I can help you find them for your team. So does this sound complicated? In this game fantasy players are required to select one driver you think will finish in the top 10 of the race. If your driver does finish in the top 10 you will start a “Streak”. Your Streak will continue as long as you keep selecting drivers who finish in the top 10. What makes this game so much fun is that fantasy players can select drivers from the Camping World Truck Series and the Xfinity Series races as well (It is not required to select drivers from those series though).
